Korvetti

Korvetti oli sota-alusluokka. Ne olivat yleensä pieniä, nopeita, hyvin ohjattavia ja suhteellisen kevyesti aseistettuja. Korvetit olivat yleensä riittävän suuria pääaluksiksi mutta pienempiä kuin fregatit, ja ne toimivat lukuisissa rooleissa vartiointitehtävistä aurinkokuntien puolustamiseen ja saatotehtäviin.
Yleisin korvettimalli oli CR90-korvetti, joista tunnetuin oli Tantive IV. Alus toimi prinsessa Leia Organan aluksena tehtävällä Tatooineen vakuuttamaan Obi-Wan Kenobi liittymään Kapinaliittoon. Korvetit olivat lähes kaikkien laivastojen käytössä galaksin historiassa.
Korvetit olivat suhteellisen edullisia pääaluksia kapinallisten, piraattien, salakuljettajien sekä palkkasoturien laivastoihin. Ne pystyivät hoitamaan minkä tahansa itseään pienemmän aluksen, ja vaikka ne eivät olleet tehokkaita suurempia aluksia vastaan ilman tukea, monet tunnettiin niiltä pakenemisesta pääalukselle poikkeuksellisen nopeutensa ja ohjattavuutensa ansiosta.
